For many years the violinist Christian Wirth has been exploring various musical worlds.
With his ensembles "Spring String Quartet" and "Chameleon Orchestra", he is giving concerts all over the world and he is the musical partner of many nationally and internationally renowned artists.
Christian Wirth attended the Musical College in Linz, where he continued his studies at the Anton-Bruckner-Conservatory focusing on violin-teaching and musical theory. Finally he completed his studies taking a master’s degree in Solo Jazz Violin and improvised music at the private Anton-Bruckner University of Music.
In 1997 Wirth founded the Spring String Quartet as its first violinist, and ever since he has been giving concerts worldwide and released five albums. The S.S.Q. has performed live as a musical partner of the US jazz legend, alto saxophonist Lee Konitz, the German singer-songwriter Konstantin Wecker, the Austrian mezzo-soprano Angelika Kirchschlager as well as the Mozambican superstar Stewart Sukuma and has featured in several recordings.
In 2013 Christian Wirth saw one of his biggest dreams come true: with the foundation of the Chameleon Orchestras he now has got a versatile orchestral ensemble consisting of multi-talented musicians capable of bridging the gaps between a variety of different musical and cultural backgrounds.
